What Is a Toner?
A toner is a multipurpose liquid that goes on your face. Many toners work to remove excess dirt or oils that do not belong on your face. Perhaps a popular toner that is well known is Witch Hazel. This toner is mainly known for providing an extra cleanse to the skin and controlling the production of breakouts. Toners can also work as serums to provide an extra hydration. Hyaluronic Acid or Niacinamide can also be considered a toner!
When Should You Be Using a Toner?
Firstly, you can use a toner in both your morning and nightly skincare routine. It generally works best right after cleanser because it provides an extra cleanse or pick me up to your skin. People with oilier skin normally are the ones who go for cleansing toners. People with dryer skin may still use toners but normally go after the ones that provide hydration instead. That is because toner tends to dry the skin out.
Popular Toner Ingredients
Hydrating :
Rosewater - Extremely hydrating and provides a refreshed glow. Used in many facial mists and setting sprays.
